Lily

Adopted! YAY!

Lily (yawning cat on the left) is very sweet and kinda shy. She is the smallest of her siblings.
Jasmine

Adopted! YAY!

Jasmine (sleeping cat to Lily's right) is the dominant sibling, the leader of the pack.
Sasha
Adopt me
Sasha is the calico mother. Sasha loves attention, she loves being petted constantly 24/7. She is very loud and has an amazing vocal range and trills and meows and can produce all kinds of sounds. She is playful and will play with her kittens Iris, Rose, Lily, and Jasmine.
Rose

Adopted! YAY!

-- DIS AR TEH MINE. I CAN HAS IT.

Rose is the calico kitten beside her mother Sasha. Rose is aloof and doesn't really seek out people and like to be held. But she is very playful. During filming, she had a great time playing with the purple mouse so I let her keep it.
You were my whole world
Iris

Adopted! YAY!

Iris is so sweet. She has longer fur and looks a little different than her siblings and was the first one to purr. She likes to follow her caretaker around and doesn't meow for attention, she just stands there and looks up waiting patiently to be picked up.
All I knew was you
Lily

Adopted! YAY!

Director's comment: Lily is actually playing with her sister Jasmine here - Jasmine is out of sight on the right pulling on the paper.
I pledged with all four paws
Jasmine

Adopted! YAY!

Jasmine is the dominant sibling, the leader of the pack. She is very vocal like her mother Sasha and uses it in a commanding way when it's feeding time.
to love and to be true
Lily

Adopted! YAY!

Director's comment: Lily hid behind my box of props, then snuck out under the dishwasher. So cute!
We played, we romped
Jasmine

and as the weeks flew
Quinn
Adopt me
Quinn is an almost one year old orange tabby kitty. I am still really a kitten so I love to be snuggled and held and give love back! I was found wandering all by myself on the street in Downey.
I tried my best to please you but you left me as I grew
Manny

Adopted! YAY!

Manny is a cat who thinks he is a dog. He was one of my favorites during filming - always curious and checking out all the props and equipment on set. He kept coming by me to say hello despite, or perhaps because of, the fact that I'm allergic to cats. He's a character and his inquisitive and outgoing nature would make him a friendly and entertaining pal out and about the house.
No more the playful games
Stunt mouse
Sew me
The mouse is but one of the many brave stunt mice hand sewn for this production.
The fluffball novelty gone
Evan
Adopt me
Evan was a lot of fun during filming, a ham and a diva. He particularly enjoys lying on the green screen and hogging the camera when he knows we're trying to film another cat there. His expressions and his attitude make him an entertaining cat to have around!
I was a chore to feed and clean and you felt put upon
Tiger

Adopted! YAY!

Director's comment: This was my third try at throwing the bread crust into the bowl after the first two went wide. Tiger leaned forward towards the bowl while the crust was in the air and it hit him instead of landing in the bowl as scripted. I felt terrible but didn't want to chance my lousy aim again and so decided to stop filming and just use this shot.
You were my whole world
All I knew was you
Evan
Adopt me
Evan the polydactyl was so relaxed while being carried around like that. How can a diva also be so chill? I dunno.
I pledged with all four paws
Manny

Adopted! YAY!

Director's comment: All the car and outdoor scenes were filmed indoors with a green screen. I didn't have a proper stand, so we just draped the green screen cloth over the carpeted cat tree in the Petco cat adoption room. The cats seemed to like it and many enjoyed hanging out inside the "green cave" during filming.
to love and to be true
Leah Mya

Adopted! YAY!

Leah Mya is almost a year old. She was rescued from a commercial area. When her current foster found her she was a ragged little bundle of fur. She nursed her back to health and now she is a healthy, bouncy, playful little girl.
You left me by the road
Manny

Adopted! YAY!

Director's comment: When Manny jumps from the car, you can see his paws sort of sink into the car and then there are flickers on the screen. This is because as he jumps, he shifts the green screen cloth to create pools of fabric hiding his paws and shadowy areas on the green screen.
to live wild and free
Halle
Adopt me
Halle is a SUPER sweet 2 yr old tuxedo female. She LOVES people and other animals. In fact, her foster says she may be the sweetest kitty she’s ever met! She likes to cuddle and will sleep on the bed with you if you let her. She had a litter of kittens (all adopted) after being rescued as a stray. She is great with kids as she was around little ones with the Good Samaritan that originally took her and her babies in.
But though the view was clear for miles
No love could I see
Hope kept me 'pon the road of life past litter and debris
Manny

Adopted! YAY!

Few who meet me walk away without saying I'm the most fun cat they've ever met! I am displeased with this life in cages and I'm not afraid to say so! I am an athlete! An extrovert! A tiny-plastic-ball-annihilation-specialist! I will entertain you with endless hours of soccer (yes! I will actually play soccer with you if you find a ball my size!) and entertain your other cats with endless hours of wrestling. I am FUN incarnate!
As the cars past me by
Evan
Adopt me
I don't know why I have extra toes, but I've been told it makes me special and endearing and sooo dang cute! It also looks extra cool when I stretch my paw out of grab a toy. I'm worried the other cats will be jealous, so I tend to stick to purring in laps while the others play. Some say I let the other cats walk all over me, but I don't know . . . Is it because I let them sit on me? 'Cause that's different from walking.
I knew the trash was me
Tiger

Adopted! YAY!

Tiger is king of the jungle. He is good with other cats and does not seem to have problems with dogs.
Like a broken toy I lay beside the road to die
Onyx
Adopt me
Onyx is a five year old boy who is super sweet and waiting patiently for a new family. He is very shy and sad right now. His original family had to leave him behind at the shelter in Downey. Onyx is a lovely sweet boy who just needs his own forever family, the sooner the better, and he will bounce back and be a happy kitty again.
Cat trash, ignored
Evan
Adopt me
Director's comment: As if anyone could ignore Evan. Here he is hogging up the green screen in front of the camera like a supermodel again.
by every passerby
We didn't really drop the cigarette from a moving car. The window scenery was taken from a camera on a tripod in the back of the car. The cigarette butt was unlit and dropped while standing still in a private parking lot and we picked it up afterwards. And there is no cat when the butt lands beside the mouse on the green screen.

Fancy Pants

Adopted! YAY!

Fancy Pants is a friendly, sociable lady who likes to keep up a steady stream of polite conversation. If you like chatty cats, this is the lady for you! Fancy is just as lovely in person as her name suggests; she has a long, plush coat she grooms well and her back legs are fluffy and white, giving her some fancy pants, indeed.
looked past my matted fur
Tiger

Adopted! YAY!

This is TIGER! He is a beautiful sweet boy kitty who was left at Downey Shelter by his owner as he could no longer care for him. Tiger was shy at first, but he has warmed up quite a bit! He is good with other kitties and does not seem to have problems with dogs.
Though long forgot by you, I still mattered to her
Ares
About Ares
Donate
Ares is a male Western cougar. He is laid back and mellow. His purring is so intense his whole body shakes when he purrs. Aries like to play with the palmetto stumps in his enclosure and rip them out of the ground so he can shred them and bat them around.
She handled me gently and took me to the vet
Misha
Adopt me
Misha's ear rash is much better thank you. She is an elegant, tolerant, affectionate lady of six years who is always down for a cuddle. She especially loves kids! They know how to cuddle, and they always (correctly) complement her on her amazing, plush coat.
Spoke softly
Checkers

Adopted! YAY!

Checkers is an active kitty who is looking for a family all her own! She was picked up as a stray and dropped at the Downey shelter. She is quite a character with a wonderful personality sure to entertain! This kitty as an unquenchable thirst for adventure and unending curiosity. Checkers is very fun to have around, and she plays well with other cats, especially if they are quite playful like her.
Returned to me the joy of being pet
Beau

Adopted! YAY!

Beau is a quiet, super sweet 4-year-old black and white kitty. He has been in foster care for over a year. He is so quiet and calm that he often gets overlooked. He is good with people, but he does get over stimulated with too much stroking. His preference would be to come to you, sit on your lap awhile, and then go off to do his own thing. He is not at all alpha, and gets along best with other non-alpha kitties. Beau became depressed recently and had to stay at the vet for two weeks because he was so sad that he almost died. He is a true gem that just needs a real cat person to give him a chance. He would love to spend his days looking out the window and just being at peace. If you think you have room in your home and in your heart for a simple cat - just a sweet cat who NEEDS to finally get a home - please consider coming to meet Beau.
She smiles and I know
Leah Mya

Adopted! YAY!

Leah Mya is almost a year old. When her current foster found her she was a ragged little bundle of fur. She nursed her back to health and now she is a healthy, bouncy, playful little girl. She has all her shots and is spayed. She is docile but lively, she has never bitten or scratched anyone, and although she is still shy of being held, she loves to be petted and rubbed and when you need to she will let you hold her. Her foster has clipped her nails twice and brushed her.
I'll learn to love again
Checkers

Adopted!

With a lifelong companion
Leah Mya

Adopted! YAY!

Leah Mya is small and probably will remain a small cat. She loves to play, eats well, and trills and purrs, when you play or pet her. She would thrive best in a home with no adult cats; a home with kittens would be ideal. She has been indoors now for 7 months and has adjusted well. If her foster could she would keep her but she lives in an apartment and with 3 other strays and believes the territory at her place is maxed out. Leah would make a wonderful addition to any family, bringing feline warmth to your hearth.
a true and loving friend
She is my whole world my heart grows anew
Lola
Adopt me
Lola is a three year old female Calico tabby kitty. She truly is the sweetest girl you will ever meet! Lola loves laps and pets.
I pledge with all four paws to love her and be true
Cotton
Adopt me
Cotton is a beautiful, quiet, clean introvert. He was abandoned at a church in Downey with a note saying his family could no longer care for him. Cotton is five years old with a calm, shy personality. He generally likes to stay in the quiet of his cage, but he's very civil even when his precious personal space is invaded. Even when he is scared, he doesn't scratch strangers who stick their hands in his cage and pet him, or even pick him up. In fact, he seems to like it! He doesn't seek out the company of other cats, but when another cat rudely jumps in his cage, he doesn't even hiss. He warms up grandly with a little patience and effort; he'll be a rag doll in your arms, eyes closed in ecstasy as you rub his chin, once he knows you a bit. If you could use a little tender, loving cuddly quiet in your life, Cotton could be the companion for you!
